Monday is sensory dough at the library. Wednesday night is pajama storytime. Friday afternoon is chess club. The Wednesday market does not come back.

Sensory Dough: Monster Makers

Drop-in playdough and natural materials, for not-so-scary monsters. The library describes it as a relaxed room for sensory-seeking and neurodivergent kids and their adults. Friends of the Library, Kirkland, sponsors it. The branch calendar and the Kirkland events list both put this on Monday, Oct 5, at 4:15–5:30 p.m.
A separate event page for the same title lists Tuesday, Oct 6, at 5:30–6:45 p.m. Those two official pages do not agree. Check both the morning you plan to go.
Monday hours are 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., so the 4:15 session fits before close. Tuesday hours are noon–8:00 p.m. if the later page is the one that is live.

Newborns to 12 months with an adult. A short play time follows. No registration. First come, first seated.
Chess Club

Boards and pieces are provided. No registration. The listing welcomes kids, teens, and adults. Friends of the Library of Kirkland sponsors it. Friday hours are 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
The same Saturday, Oct 10, the branch lists “Discover the Amazing World of Bats” at 1:00–2:00 p.m. with Bats Northwest. That listing is filed under adult audiences, not the kids’ storytime categories. Read the event note before you bring a preschooler.
The market is over
The Wednesday market’s last day was Sep 30. It does not return on Oct 7. Juanita Friday Market was posted as a June-through-September season, so Friday Oct 9 is outside that window too.

Ukulele, on the KPC calendar. The 7:00 p.m. start is after the library’s 6:00 p.m. Monday close, so the dough session and this show are the same evening only if you leave the library on time. This is a concert, not a kids’ matinee.
