The tiny paintings from last Saturday are on the wall at the library. Saturday night is a ticketed farm dinner south of town.

Work from the Sep 26 Tiny Canvas Painting session. The library calls it an all-day exhibit during open hours for the month of October. Pickup of the canvases is the first week of November.
The branch page lists Monday–Thursday 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00–5:00 p.m. The live hours grid for late September shows closing about 15 minutes earlier. Use the grid the day you go.

Ages 1–3, about 20 minutes. Both sessions are the same: concept books, simple stories, and movement. The next Monday, Oct 5, is outside this week.

Witches Dance

Community Crafting Day at FrinGe

FrinGe Brewing
The Ferndale Arts Commission lists this date on the city’s recreation page. The page says details are still being finalized, and that an event without its own link does not have specifics yet. No start time is posted.
FrinGe is a brewery. Its taproom says well-behaved children and leashed pets are welcome. That is the taproom’s general policy, not a description of the craft day. Confirm with the city before you treat it as a kids’ workshop. Contact on the recreation page is Megan Juenemann, (360) 685-2353.

Farm dinner at Evergreen Gardens

Evergreen Gardens, 698 West Pole Rd
A family-style dinner for up to 50 guests, menu by The Skagit Table, with ingredients from local farms including Oak Meadows Farm. The hosts list wine and handcrafted mocktails. This is a slow adult evening in the garden, not a kids’ program. The event page does not show a ticket price in the description.
Outside
Hovander is open daily, 8:00 a.m. to sunset, at 5299 Nielsen Rd. Playgrounds stay closed while the county replaces fall protection washed out in flooding. The Tennant Lake boardwalk stays closed through hunting season. Picnic tables near the house are free if they are open.
The Saturday after
Two big listings land on Sat Oct 10, and they do not agree with each other.
The city’s Zombie Fun Run page sets the 4th annual run that morning at Pioneer Pavilion. Check-in at 9:00 a.m., a kids’ shuffle at 9:45 a.m., and the run at 10:00 a.m. You can do one, two, or three laps. The course uses gravel, may cross grass, and goes through Pioneer Village, where dogs are not allowed.
Ferndale Community Services describes a free Harvest Festival the same day, noon–5:00 p.m., at the same pavilion: face painting, a zucchini race, pumpkin painting, chowder, and Indian food while supplies last. The city calendar lists that festival as 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Oct 10. The city’s recreation roundup instead says Saturday, Oct 11, and “information soon.” Confirm which clock, and which day, before you plan around it.
