Thursday morning is a librarian-led StoryWalk at Boulevard Park. Friday is Pokémon Club at the Central Library. Saturday is the farmers market at Depot Market Square.

Boulevard Park, meet at the play structure
For ages 3–8. A librarian reads the StoryWalk along Taylor Dock, with songs and nature crafts. The library and City of Bellingham Public Works are doing this together for Whatcom Water Week, which runs Sep 12–20. Free.
The same Thursday, the Central Library lists Growing Community Through Food at 4:00–5:45 p.m. in the Lecture Room, doors at 3:30. Short films, bites from local chefs, and conversation. Free and open to all. It is not a kids’ storytime. If the morning StoryWalk is the family plan, this is the optional early evening.

Pokémon Club

Ages 7–11. Crafts, games, and a meet-up. All experience levels. Free, like the rest of the library’s September list.
Hispanic Heritage Month displays, Sep 15 through Oct 15, are up at every branch. That is a shelf, not a ticketed program.

Every Saturday through December 19, 2026, on the tourism calendar. Produce, crafts, and ready-to-eat food. The Wednesday waterfront market was a summer series and is not on the fall calendar.
Little Storytime and Library Explorers start the following Monday, Sep 21. The Friends book sale is Thu Sep 24 through Sat Sep 26 at the Central Library.
