Free family afternoon for Welcoming Week. The city schedule, all on site:

12:00 p.m., jumbotron by the south entrance: Welcoming Week and Hispanic Heritage Month proclamations.
1:00 p.m., Council Chambers: story time with Mayor Kelli Curtis and the Library Board, plus a free book swap.
2:00 p.m.: Mini Belonging Parade around City Hall, led by the Lake Washington High School Marching Band, V amolá, and Brazilian Swag. No registration. Wagons and strollers are welcome.
3:00 p.m., Council Chambers: Ella Bella Bee & the Pollinators, a 45-minute kids’ musical about bees, bats, and hummingbirds, with puppets. 4Culture sponsors the entertainment.

Young entrepreneurs ages 5–12 sell from their own booths in the south parking lot. Registration for those booths is closed. Inside, the Young Palette show hangs work from local students in grades K–12, and Seattle Reconomy runs a fixer fair for clothes and small appliances.

Food vendors on the city’s list include Cocinas, Conchas de La Abuela, Dippy’s Ice Cream, Green Steamer, J&Y Mobile Creperie, Magic Maggie’s Treats, and Saap Saap Mochi. Truck-a-Palooza lines up fire, parks, police, and public works vehicles on 5th Avenue, plus a Metro coach and a Lake Washington School District bus.

Bike valet is free. The 255 stops at 4th Ave. Kirkland Urban parking at 425 Urban Plaza can be validated, then it is a short walk. ADA parking is reserved along 1st St. A Bloodworks Northwest bloodmobile is on 5th Avenue. Appointments are recommended, photo ID is required, and visitors under 16 are asked to stay out of the bloodmobile.

The Downtown Association’s 2026 season runs Wednesdays, June 3 through September 30, 3:00–7:00 p.m. Produce, bakers, artists, and hot food. The association says the market accepts EBT, SNAP Market Match, and WIC/FMNP. Two Wednesdays remain after this one.

The city posts the 2026 season as June through September, Fridays 3:00–7:00 p.m., with no market on June 19 or July 3. More than 50 vendors, plus live music and free kids’ crafts. Sep 18 sits inside that season.
