The Saturday market, and Banned Books Week
Saturday is the farmers market at Millennium Plaza Park, with Farm Fresh Kids. The library’s Freedom to Read Month starts with a banned-books display.
The Lake Oswego Public Library is at 706 4th Street. Freedom to Read Month on the library’s page runs Sep. 22 through Oct. 19. Banned Books Week, Sep. 22–28, is the kickoff: a display of materials that have been banned or challenged, plus free buttons, stickers, and copies of the American Library Association’s book report while supplies last.

Millennium Plaza Park
The city’s 2026 season is Saturdays, May 9 through Oct. 31, with no market on July 4. Live music is 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. SNAP matching is up to $20.
Farm Fresh Kids is the same morning. Children pick up a passport at the Market Information Booth, finish three activities (a question, a search for the apple mascots Betty and Roni, and a booth activity), and can earn up to $3 in tokens for fruit and vegetables.

The storytime guide says dates live on the library calendar, and that a session uses preschool on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., toddlers on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., Fun for Ones on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., and babies on Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. This issue does not add those clocks as dated sessions, because the guide points families to the calendar for which weeks are in session.
